fuck noise regulations!
thatguyoverthere45 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
they might not fly through your area anymore
jjmac1970 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Its for the noise regulations, for faster climb outs! A UAL pilot told me they have very strick noise regulations out there!!
cameronhsv (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Oh do they? My mistake lol, I just don't see them anymore

757's continue to operate thousands of flights daily. They are probably one of the most widely flown aircraft in the world alongside 737 and the A320 family.
cameronhsv (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
THis may be a silly question....but why do the 757's never seem to be around any more? Was it due to safety reasons, slow delivery, or just outdated? What was the reason?

There is nothing quite like the feeling of the surge of power you get during take-off, and then watching the ground get smaller and smaller beneath you as you start your climb.
AdamJLemon (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
My guess is that Santa Ana has a short-ish runway and they needed more flap angle to shorten the take-off run a bit.
Joey7700 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yea thats what i was thinking because i've flown so many times and I own an airplane so i know what the flaps are usually at, maybe th captain put them down too early or just wanted them down for extra lift.
