I first listened to this song about 2 years ago. I thought it was horrible. I couldn't believe it was ranked #1 greatest song above classics like stairway to heaven and sympathy for the devil. Just recently, I listened to it again. I don't know if I've matured, or if my taste has changed, but something came over me while listening to it; it was so moving it brought me to tears. I listened to it over and over again. It's so simple in design and form, and yet a powerful work of art at it's core.

you should have been deaf, you dont know how to appreciate good music. metallica is straight dogshit compared to bob. bob dylan is the best singer/song-writer ever to have walked this earth.

You never hear two people who like Bob Dylan debate on his voice, they know what it's about. It's obvious he is aggravated by the crowd who wants him to play acoustically - so he tells the band turn all the way up and he is more shrill than he usually is on other performances. He is screaming to annoy, he does it quite well. He can control his voice you know.

People who criticize Bob Dylan for his inability to sing are some pretty lame people...
Not because he is an excellent singer, but he is truly a poet.
He doesn't focus on the unimportant part of music, like perfect vocals.
Also, all of the modern singers like your pop stars, such as Britney Spears or T.I. or any other rapper/pop-stars have awful voice, but are helped by running their voice through a synthesizer and having a distracting sex appeal and silly choreographed dance sequences.

it's not his voice, it's his passion that makes this a masterpiece |
