There never has been another actress so charmingly beautiful and capable of displaying all human emotions -- equally of joy and sorrow -- in such a natural fashion that one tends to listen to the songs on screen time and again!
What a great pity that whereas she gave so much to others, she had to undergo such a sadly unfulfilling life, which itself was so short. How I wish she remained alive much longer and married Dilip Kumar, whom she truly loved so much!
I loved seeing her in Basant!

"Joie de vivre". This is the phrase that fits best to this song and Madhu's life at that given time. Thanks.

Love of a woman for a man in all its openness, honesty, innocence, genuineness and naivity. You can't stop feeling for her. She conquered the world with her beauty, personality and artistic talent. She was thrown by her parents into this arena of survival at a very young age. She became so famous that she was in demand in Holywood in the early 50's. But sadly she failed on 2 counts in her life. First, she could not marry the man she adored most and second, she lost the battle to stay alive.

Madhu was probably around 23 when this movie was released. Probably at her ravishing best then. Joie de vivre that she embodied was breathtaking.

Lata is the voice farishta and Madhu is the visual and talent farishta. God bless them and God bless the gentleman who posted this divine melody and scene. |
