this video is dishonest propaganda. misquoting, misrepresenting, and outright lies.
Franklin never talked about "a little liberty", or "a little security" he spoke of "essential liberty" and "temporary" security.
You quote Jefferson about the authority to declare war, and then post Bush's "I am the decider", trying to imply Bush claimed he gets to declare war, which he's never done. That quote was about deciding whether or not to accept Rumsfelds resignation.
Too many lies, not enough space

It's just a video of quotes from our founders. Why be so negative?

Dude, it's YouTube. Anything on here that might have been meaningful got the boot when Google bought it. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm heading over to Veoh.

Stringing together a bunch of quotes and adding melismatic tunes only makes for a sentimental form of Nationalistic fervor. It doesn't mean the message is complete, right, or truly accurate. While I applaud the effort to start discussion, I hope it takes more depth to truly describe our history and future than a myopic, author-guided clip.

Cream. trying to inform some ppl about what is really going on politically is like trying to convince someone that their beloved spouse is cheating on them.
they are probably so enamored with these sources of info b/c these are regarded as " standards of authority" & agree with the "figures of authority" they like--for example, our politicians. so these sad ppl are more apt to take their word for things than they would the word of someone like you or me--at least until we write a book...lol

to scary to think how far we have drifted from these great words that formed our country. how easily we forget the past and were we have come from.
"those who do not remember the past are condemned to relive it"
