No doubt the best post moves the game has ever seen!
skubi2008 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
for a given game I would probably take mchale, but if I was a GM, probably Duncan cos he is more durable/injury-free...
LarryKEKE (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
4real, right on the money
AceroySangre (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
but McHale was a Better FT Shooter, Mid Range Shooter and Post Scorer. His Scoring Efficiency inside the 2-Point line is only comparable to Barkley = Greatest PF Ever.

McHale and Duncan are quite similar in terms of efficiency, both are quite consistant too
bassman5123 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Droog13: Rodman the starting PF? He can hardly score. That's a waste of an entire position! I guess you're figuring that they already have more than enough offensive firepower, so you decided to put a defensive specialist on the team. Not a bad idea, but McHale's a way better shot blocker, about equal at rebounding, and a better tip-in man. Plus, I think the extra offense is more important since you're not giving up much (if any) on D but stand to gain substantially on offense.
skubi2008 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I think Duncan is more durable, but if you compare peak performance, I think McHale is right up there with Duncan. Think about this - McHale in his peak shot 60% FG and 80% FT... that's a big deal, cos it demonstrates how complete he was as a player.
lewalcindor (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Duncan is probably a better help defender, but Kevin is by far the better one-on-one defender: he had to guard Andrew Toney when Toney was killing Boston. As great a post player that Duncan is, McHale is simply almost without peer in the low-post department in terms of creativity and effectiveness. Otherwise, Duncan has him beat in all other categories and is one of the quintessential winners of all time.
AceroySangre (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Duncan was more All-Around: Better Passer, Better Rebounder and probalay slightly defender than McHale. But Kevin would beat him easily outscore him in the Post by Far and also was more witty and had way more court awareness. Any how Charles Barkley in his Prime from 1985 to 1995 was better than any PF that ever played. And he did not need Bird-Parish, Stockton or David Robinson to make him even Greater :)
PraisetheLord83 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
As good as McHale was. Tim Duncan could give him a run for his money.
