What makes me mad is that the people are saying that it's a Islamic thing. That makes me so angry. They want to keep their traditions and so they use Islam to keep the people who can't read under control.

In some cultures cannibalism is a tradition, so does that make it OK?

You are right. The people who started were the ancient Egyptians, the pharoahs decreed this thousands of years ago and this custom has continued since.

A man who wants his woman circumcised so her hole will be tight for him is after sexual pleasure, or just brainwashed. Since girls die from this, it is completely unnatural for a parent to do this to their child. The natural instinct should be to keep the children safe and healthy and put everything else second, including tradition. Whoever started this tradition was sick and obviously did not care about the health and safety of their women.

1mayven. The circumcision of males in the Jewish culture is performed by professionals with professional tools. The health risk is near zero. Actually pretty many not Jewish men have a circumcision because of cosmetical or sanitary reasons nowadays. It's basically just cutting of a piece of skin that has only a little biological function. But female circumcision is simply a crime even if it is done with clean tools. It's not only a piece of skin cut off there.
