Interesting question. Sun ra talked about space,afrocentricity and electronic instruments since the 1930s in chicago. He was thought to be insane then. In his lifetime all of those things were common knowledge. ra was clearly a prophet.

Sun Ra has gone off to his intergalactic abode beyond the black and white dichotomies that divide and disintegate the planet Earth. His music still sustains this Earth. It is profound spiritual therapy. Without his music, the disintegration of the Earth would be completed and we would only be vapor floating in the nebulae. Sun Ra forever! |
