this is my favorite scene in the movie!! i love all the clothes and shoes and jewels and the colours and the grandeur of it! sophia copola knows how to make a girl jealous!!

The thing is they weren't allowed to interact, not even see the poor people, so they thought France was not much different from their point of view.People blame Marie and Louie of France's problems at that time, when they just were victims, so to say. They just led a normal life stile for them and got involded in serious issues because of bad timing.

There are uncanny parallels between the plot of 'The Sound of Music' and the fantasies of Marie Antoinette, the Queen of France who was executed after libel and bad PR gave her an unfortunate reputation. Marie's fantasy was to make a dress using the same pink color as her curtains.
Later, the example, inspiration, influence and creations she'd leave behind, would have us all singing about our 'favorite things', which definitely helped 'the medicine go down'. Watch the tribute on my channel!
