I've seen it! it's freely available under the counter at any video store. (just ask) Anythig is available here even every brand of alcohol.

The book Persepolis has been banned from Iran because of its content. There's a version of it translated into Persian, but it's more underground. If the government forbids the book, do you really think they're going to let the people see the movie?

There are numerous excellent Iranian film-makers who could have helped. To an Iranian seeing this movie, it seems so unreal when an Iranian family livng in Iran speaks French. I suppose this is not aimed at Iranian audience, so it does not matter. However, it would be Iranians who can relate to this story most.

They spek french because Marjane Satrapi lives in France and this is a French animated movie. It would be hard to do it in Persian with only one person in the workforce knowing it.

This movie would have been tremendous if it was in Persian. Why does the family speak French in Iran? I don't get it, this was really odd.
