I must disagree. Drunken fist can be very affective when used properly. My sigung used it on me not too long ago and I was totally thrown. I've seen it used in fights before but it just depends on how you use it. Most people use the form instead of the function. Thats where they fail.

they arent allowing take downs several times the drunk kung fu dude could have taken the guy down but the fight stopped each time he grabbed

ok...this is japan trying to make a video to make fun of china. obviously the drunken fist fighters dont have a clue. get a shaolin monk in there...then they will see wht happens when you karate goes against the real stuff.
