Clean Version of this video part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... Jeff Thomas and Abe Navarro stop by On the Spot to demo All-Pro Football 2K8. Video quality from the original file has issues,I'll compress the HD file asap. So in a game full of legendary talent, how do you distinguish one player from another? How does APF 2K8 qualify the differences between top-tier runners like Earl Campbell and Roger Craig? Or between linebacking legends Derrick Thomas and Nick Bouniconti? In fact, the game does so in a couple of different ways. The first method involves splitting players up into three different tiers, indicated in the game by either gold, silver, or bronze. To give you an idea of how the talent breaks down, consider how the game separates the quarterbacks along these three tiers. Gold: Dan Marino, Joe Montana, John Elway, Johnny Unitas, Otto Graham, Roger Staubach, Sammy Baugh, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Warren Moon Silver: Archie Manning, Bart Starr, Joe Theismann, Ken Stabler, Len Dawson, Randall Cunningham Bronze: Andre Ware, Bernie Kosar, Bill Wade, Bobby Herbert, Bubby Brister, Dave Krieg, Greg Landy, Jeff Hostetler, Jim Harbaugh, Jim Hart, Jim Zorn, John Brodie, Ken O'Brien, Lynn Dickey, Mark Rypien, Neil O'Donnel, Steve Bartkowski, Steve Grogan, Tommy Kramar

this game is more realistic then madden will ever be, they have postgame nd halftime shows, graphics aint that bad, fun gameplay, ill give this game a 9

Madden09 is a big improvement. I also agree that there shouldn't be a Monopoly on the NFL game franchise. Sadly 2K8 didn't get high reviews and was a pretty mediocre game. My point was that if they put a little more time into 2K8, people might have bought that game over Madden08 despite the NFL license. The biggest problem with 2k5 was how stupid the AI was for the DB. Not to say Madden 05 was perfect. Also, if you are right about the sales... let's not forget that 2K5 was less then half price.

lmao. im getting my info from opm or psm, whichever i was reading at the time. i remember when i read about 2k5 outselling madden that year. i said, "wow, thats sweet". and then what do the madden cowards turn around and do? buy the rights to the nfl so the other guys had to start from scratch. sorry bud. realism is dead with madden. 07-09 are pure garbage not even suitable for rats to eat. check out the physics in some of these videos. youll see what im talking about. good luck.

LOL Where are you getting your info? Look up the reviews for yourself, they were the same, almost identical. And Madden outsold 2K5. 2K8 was and is a complete failure. It got poor reviews, the graphics are meh, the gameplay is meh, the franchise is garbage. How can you claim, "Nearly Perfect realism" when clearly it's not. Believe me, I know Madden games aren't perfect. But 2K5 was good, 2K8 is garbage.
Tbar95 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
yea 2k5 outsold madden in both units sold and i believe actual money made, and like u said it was less then half the price. it was getting better reviews and real football fans that know how football works still love it more then any madden to this day. im about to buy 2k5 and 2k8 as well. cant argue with nearly perfect realism.

2K8 is okay at best, 2K5 was very nice but this is far lacking. This game is missing many key hall of fame talent players, Lawerence Taylor, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Jason Sehorn,Michael Irving the list goes on!Secondly they need to allow player to play differnt positions. I liked Rod Woodson much better as a safety than corner!I like ronnie lott at the strong safety spot over free safety!

You can create Nitschke for yourself; he's not in the game. I'm pretty sure Lynn is, though.
