Gaahl really believes in this whole ideology behind what he's doing—he's not just some rockstar fronting a band. The thing with Black Metal is, in Norway, everybody is exactly the same. There's nothing to rebel against, because everybody's really well off. It's one of the richest countries in Europe. There is no lower class, it's like middle-class white kids everywhere—no one has anything to complain about. And he's this sort of eccentric figure amidst this sea of contentment and sameness. The way I see it is, in America you have guys like 50 Cent who are supposed to be the "villain." Kids like him cause they're parents hate him, and that's basically what Gaahl is. considering an inverted cross is just a simble its nothing special,second the guy who built the church doesnt care,he got paid when he made it and hell probly get paid again to make another one i dought giving the man more money will make him realy care.and by the way all religios beleifs including athiesm are lies.mankind cannot come up with the truth let alone prove what they beleive.its a matter of basic logic simply study ALL religions and youll see ther all connected with eachother.

Well they don't believe "in" God but they do believe that he exists. With out God there is no Satan. Satan is a fallen angel from God's kingdom. Satan's whole purpose is to defy God which is why he was kicked out of heaven. Someone who does not belive in God is Atheist.
