Interesting moment at the end... Nagin backed down to the President. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place: he's got a city-wide natural disaster zone and a stupid, but powerful commander in chief, that he can't exactly go and say "do a better job" to. I think Nagin wasn't prepared to commit political suicide, but someone needed to convey the severity of the situation to Bush, regardless of being polite or not. Nagin should have done that.
