great pop, melodic, genius. this is a great example for all upcomeing bands to see the importance of melody, chord structure, and finding a hook that wants you to hear it again and again and again.australian band faker should do a cover of this song.

saw them in Atlanta at the now defunct Cotton Club. Best band I saw there - and saw Inspirals, Ride, Lush, etc...even when I visited Liverpool in 2004 Lee Mavers name was spoken with hushed reverance. We won't be blessed with one like him soon.

That album was a pure gem. Play it through again sometime- all of the songs are catchy. It reminds me of The Ocean Blue's first album, in the way it waas just a pure crystalyzed sound that captures an era. Kind of one hit wonders, though. What ever happened to them? |
