In any case, it still doesn't change the fact that the court cannot rule on a right that isn't found. Yea, it's an ancient tradition but it's never been a same sex tradition. The founding fathers didn't take it into account because it didn't exist so all we can do is allow the people to decide. I understand it seems unfair to you but it's the best system we have.

We gave the butt pirates civil unions for 8 YEARS! That was part of the original ballot measure banning gay marriage in 2000, which passed overwhelmingly. We voted yes to civil unions but no to calling to men a marriage. But that wasn't good enough for you fudgepackers, so you got a leftwing court to overthrow it and piss us off. I'm not sure about the current law, but I'm pretty sure is also allows civil unions.

What question did you ask?
I went to a church because I wanted to see what they were going to say about prop 8 passing and about Obama winning. They said they were so glad prop 8 passed because if gays get the right to marry than the world will end soon. I went to church just to see how ignorant they would be and they lived up to my expectations.
Why is my experience irrelevant?
God doesnt exist so how could he bless those who follow Jesus?

Paying taxes doesn't entitle anyone to invent provisions that are simply not found in the Constitution. Civil unions are legal and many churches also marry gays so you have no grounds to attack the worldwide Christian faith either. What you want is for other people's rights to move over to make room for your demands. It doesn't work that way when the people have spoken.
