By the way, to the person who mentioned this earlier, I'm a white American and I lived in a black South African township for a while (as well as in the 'white' area of the city) and I witnessed no interracial oppression whatsoever. The closest I saw was a black cop blackmail a bribe out of a black friend of mine to get out of a traffic offense.
In South Africa, the whites have the money (and therefore the power) and the blacks are the laborers for the most part. The transition is ongoing...

It's too bad the anti-apartheid movement hit full stride in the '80s when music was in such an awkwardly transitional phase...imagine if it had happened in the 60s or 70s!

South Africa still has apartheid, just now it has reversed from Whites oppressing Blacks, to Blacks oppressing everyone, including the coloureds(mullatos) ofcourse these artists don't say anything now, they either feel stupid or never really cared.
One of the latest weird things is now you have tribal politics with the Zulus and Xhosa's at each other for political power.
