I don't think color is the issue. Eminem is awful not because he's white, but because he represents the commercialization and homogenization of hip-hop music and culture, the same way the music industry has done for every style from blues to emo, and produced indistinguishable, generic garbage.

I know that there are some white people, like you, who are really down with Hip Hop. But that was not my point. It hurts me to see the pure form of art that hip hop is, has been squandered for the cash.

I half-agree with you, I liked hip-hop for ages and I'm white.
I never got into that crappy "gangsta rap" but sadly some of my more "easily persuaded" friends did.
