Very good keeper, and some dogged batting, but as a wicketkeeper, keeping is what they look for, and if runs can come too, thats a bonus.

jack russell is one of the greatest men to walk the earth.i am so glad that i met him in a pub in wigan .we were discussing that most great keeps have a maverick batting technique which can lead to them moonlighting on occasionally but not consistently delivering the goods. sangakarra could bat anywhere for just about any side in the world and jack firmly believes that this makes him one of,if not the most influencial players in test cricket within the last 20 years.

He was dropped for the very next game against Australia!

He got a stumping off Courtney Walsh's bowling for Gloucestershire...just shows what a fantastic keeper he was and how badly he was treated by England. Batsman bat, nowlers bowl and keepers keep wicket...specially if their Dad is the coach

anyone know where there's any more jack russell clips?

Jack Russell was definitely the greatest wicket-keeper the game has ever seen. This clip shows the benefit of having a genuine keeper behind the stumps rather than some batsman who can half keep.
