Oh, jeah, as soccer is a useless sport, since these idiots only kick the ball when they could grab it and throw it into the goal... TKD is a sport, as Judo, as Boxing etc. and has specific rules and limitations. Thats not bad, that makes it special. Its not ment for comparing it to other martial arts, like modern full contact Karate, MMA, Vale Tudo etc. Calling it "useless" is quite narrow minded and intolerant.

exactly! taekwondo rarely punches. even if your right close to your enemy, you will still kick, which is a risk of falling then your fucked once your on the floor.
but karate knows what its doing

TKD does tend to lean more towards kicks, even though it does have a capable set of hand-to-hand techniques, favoring the strong leg muscles and leg reach over balance, security and overal body mastery.
Also, a good thing to remember is this; whenever you throw a kick, you're standing on one leg...

someone already mentioned that when the japanese took over the koreans or something like that, the koreans had to fly kick the japanese of the horses etc etc... taekwondo is a useless martial art.. it was made to fly kick the japanese of horses, its only like 90% kicking and 10% punching, its useless.. waste a ton of energy, and a risk of falling. karate is a very wise martial art, its punches and kicks are equal ETC ET FUCKING C

its clear why taekwondo lost... its like 90% kicking and 10% punching, fast high kicks like that waste a ton of energy, but karate is 50/50, smart and strong. it doesnt just pop out kicks like HIYAAAAAHHHHHHH, it knows what its doing, its clear why karate won
