I have struggled with this one myself. I meditate and I have also experimented a considerable amount with marijuana in the past. Marijuana alters your state, I guess both on the energetic and mental level. Ultimately meditation is about accepting what is here now, if you have smoked a joint, then what you are experiencing is reality at that moment. I think marijuana can help open your mind to new possibilities and break preconceptions, but I'm not sure it directly aids meditation in any way.

You wrote "purpose of meditation is a negative one - it is to get rid of or stop negative qualities." This is a loaded statement, meditation is not to get rid or stop anything, it is about accepting what is. Because only when you can truly and accept what is, can you truly make the most of it.

well watch all of these videos by this guy 1-5... he teaches you a way of meditation which buddhists use. But you can use it too, but do exactly what he says, hes very clear in all of his videos, and dont practice meditation until you watch all of his videos cause he sort of goes in backwards order

I have problems with anxiety and I want to try meditation to help me with that but all these people have different ways to do it so I dont know what to do exactly.

Did it occur to you that monks are spiritual people devoting themselves to cultivating the inner self? I think they alot stronger than you no matter how they sit.

id say meditation is used to clear your mind completely so you can have a better understanding soon after. marijuana can help you analyze a situation and untangle your once subconscious thoughts. so in some ways they are the same, but marijuana is not necessarily a form of meditation

If the legs hurt dont sit on chair. Think of pain, pain, pain and get back to the consciousness of the breathing... this helped me to get back to me consciousness breathing |
