This album didn't grab me right away, but this song haunts my dreams now. It is otherworldly, minimalistic but it feels epic. Great song, great album.

I'd like to hear a Burial remix of this. This is their Burial track, or if you prefer their trip-hop track. Soul music filtered through dark future party hallways. Yeah it's also their closest ever to a (good era) U2 track but only in the sense U2 was very dubby + soul for a while there in the early 90s. As idiotic as Grammys are, when nearly all great artists (for instance Portishead this year, or even Marvin Gaye in the '70s) did not get proper attention, I'm happy for this song's recognition. |
