I HATE Geddy's tone these days.
I bought a Sansamp RBI bass pre, and lo and behold! - there was that minging pretend-tube sound he was getting.
Listen to Digital Man from Signals and lament the loss of THAT sound. I'm also unconvinced about his Jazz Bass.He always sounded best playing the Rickenbacker, and dare I say it, the Steinberger on Power Windows.
This pseudo-vintage nonsense annoys the bejesus outta me.
But I love his playing, and I love Rush!

are there multiply versons of la vlla stranginto it seams like every video of it on you yube i find sounds way diffrent i have a tab to it thats has classical guitar at the begining where can i find that one

Alex, Geddy and Neil r simply the best convination ever. They r at the same lvl of skill in their respective areas. Neil is my favorite drummer, Alex compose the fav guitar duo for me wit Snatana and Geddy deserves the title of second best bassist ever after Jaco. Im a bassist and i can tell Geddy can bash any bassist out there, yet these guys r the simplest persons ever. Doing tat tribute to Jaco meant a lot for us bassist. They have showed simplicity and so God smiles upon themxD.

lol ya well i ma a die hard rush fan for life but ya i know wat u mean but belive me geddy and alex still got it like remeber there old and getting cenial lmao but ya they still got it after over 30 years of rocking lives and shit so who cares i`l always love them...plus now geddy dont have that squeak in his voice as he use 2 as much lmao XD which is good XD and i ahte how pl hate rush cuz his voice it pisses me off worlds greatest musicians and talented so ya eer but i love rushy man :D

I love RUSH until I die but is anyone else slightly annoyed by Geddy's and Alex's tones these days??
I mean I know it's dumb to want them to stay the same as their 70s/80s tones but still...
Alex is way to distorted and heavy and Geddy is to clangy.
I'm not bashing them! I'm just wondering if anyone else thinks the same
