I don't think Gerard's voice was worked enough (or maybe he just isn't a regular singer) but he's still very handsome. I also think Emmy has trouble with high notes, but otherwise she has a pretty mezzo-soprano voice.

This is my favourite song in the entire movie (barring Music of the Night) :)
The cape flicks are awesome!! :)
And the backgroun dancers are TOO hilarious (particularly at 1.54) :P
I find it difficult to compare Gerard Butler and Michael Crawford because I love them both - they are each very talented and are invloved in very different interpretations of the musical.
So yeah, very good :)

I think if andrew loyd webber actept them for this role, it was not only becuase of their pretty faces, beside gerard doesnt show it much in the film behind the mask!Emmy rossum is just perfect for this role , no one could say that she isnt talented, and gerard is so pasionate, full of emotions, and sexy, I really like his voice!

Gerard Butler was so ridiculously miscast for this role - his voice struggles throughout the entirety of the movie and his accent corrupts the crispness of his words ... this movie was almost as awful a rendition as the Madonna Evita movie ... Hollywood is all about pretty faces, not about actual singing, dancing or acting talent ... where is the stage craft and skill here ... I just don't see it ... big deal - he has a pretty face ... he just murders the singing - horrible
