Actually the full name of Pakistan is "The Islamic Republic of Pakistan" Pakistan was established in 1947 specifically as a Muslim country by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Pakistan once part of India was split off from India when the British left for Muslims while India became secular. Some of the largest Islamic countries in the world are not under sharia including Malaysia and Indonesia and Indonesia is the largest Islamic country in the world per capita.
