That sounds pretty but in the world I live in, beliefs have consequences. Depriving people of rights, suicide bombings, keeping AIDS education and contraception out of Africa, genital mutilation, contempt of science, etc, etc.
Beliefs have consequences, if you don't like the consequences it's somewhat immoral not to oppose them.
