Perhaps you could download from an other computer a .deb file for installing beryl!? Right click on file and install with g-debi package installer.
But i understand if you're a little bit frustrated. Always depencies when installing something, no exe files.. without internet connection everything sucks.

Yes, I do know about beryl.
I have some connection problems when with linux, but this doesn't really concern anyone lol

To enable beryl open in desktop synaptic, the ubuntu pagacking program. download easily "beryl manager". Synaptic does download and install automatically. Open beryl and setup how you want the desktop effects. All with gui, no typing. |
